Johannesburg Power Company Suffers Serious Network Disruptions Following Ransomware Attack

Johannesburg based power company, City Power reported disruptions to their systems following a ransomware infection. The company stated that most of its network was impacted by the attack, making the company’s website, and electricity vending systems unavailable, preventing many from acquiring electricity.

ISA Announces Global Cybersecurity Alliance founding members

The International Society of Automation (ISA) announced at the end of July the founding members of the newly formed Global Cybersecurity Alliance. The newly formed Alliance aims to bring together multi-national, industrial-technology and cyber solution providers in order to proactively address growing threats. The members include both Industrial vendors like Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation, and Honeywell and Cybersecurity companies.
